TELEPHONE COUNSELING
References: Lester, D. (1995). Counseling by Telephone: Advantages and Problems. Crisis Intervention, 2, 57-69. As telecommunication services grow, telephone counseling is becoming a valid way for clients to receive counseling. Due to extensive travel in the past, I had to rely on telephone sessions in order to stay connected with my clients and came to realize that many appreciated the convenience these sessions offered over traditional office visits. Over time I learned which clients might be best suited for telephone sessions and began offering them as an additional service. Clients who choose this option agree it's an effective means of therapy as wells as convenient and private. Recent articles and studies have detailed the advantages of telephone counseling. Below I have referenced articles for anyone interested in becoming better acquainted with this method of treatment. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have .
